SUPER BOWL BEAN DIP

This dish can be served alone with shredded cheddar cheese and crispy tortilla chips or…even better when spooned over hot dogs and corn chips!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 Tablespoon oil

  • 1/2 large green bell pepper, chopped small

  • 1 small onion, chopped

  • 1 pound lean ground beef or turkey

  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 2 Tablespoons Haus Barhyte Jalapeno Gold Mustard, or Haus Barhyte Spicy Red Jalapeno Mustard

  • 2 Tablespoons Suzie’s Organic Cocktail Sauce

  • 5 Tablespoons Saucy Mama Honey Barbecue Wing Sauce

  • 1 28-ounce can Bush’s Country Style Baked Beans, do not drain

  • 1 15-ounce can light red kidney beans, drained

  • 1 15-ounce can great northern beans, drained

  • 1/4 cup + 2 Tablespoons dark brown sugar

  • 2 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In a Dutch oven pot over medium high heat, sauté the onion and green bell pepper in the oil for several minutes, or until translucent and tender.

  2. Add the ground meat, season with salt and pepper, then cook until brown.

  3. Add in the remaining ingredients and simmer 10-12 minutes to allow the flavors to blend together and to allow the sauce to thicken.
