2013 Winter Fancy Food Show Finds

29th Jan 2013

Alright, Saucies! In our last post, we promised we would share our San Francisco Fancy Food Show finds with you this week…so here we go! Now, the NASFT always publishes a list of the Top Trends at the Show, but these are foods that we personally tried and loved. Enjoy!

The Frontera Foods booth was directly across from ours…and boy did that make us hungry! Every hour or so, they would cook up a batch of tacos and fresh guacamole for attendees- yum! We just loved their easy guacamole mix. Well done, Rick Bayless, well done.

Our other booth neighbors were the Hot Lips soda guys, an easy company to support as they are fellow Oregonians! Their small-batch soda is produced completely in the northwest and is all-natural (sounds a bit like our Suzie’s Mustard, no?). The pear soda is incredibly delicious and so unique!

Hold on to seats! These pickles are spicy! These babies are also some of the best pickles I’ve ever tasted. They come in a variety of flavors- sweet, sour, “dern hot”- and every one was delicious. I also love the company’s fun packaging; a home style, country-loving jar with funny spelling on the label.

YUM. Incredible. Amazing. YUM! Ok, the flavored peanut butters from PB Crave were ridiculously delicious. CoCo Bananas – peanut butter with banana flavor, chocolate and honey- was just divine. There is also a cookie dough flavored one! If you LOVE peanut butter, you simply MUST try this stuff.

We were lucky enough to grab a bag of this yummy popcorn at the end of the show, and we snacked on it as we headed to the airport. We had the Movie Lovers Buttered Popcorn, and it seriously tasted JUST like real movie theater popcorn! I was surely impressed. Way to go, Oogies!

These were our absolute favorite finds, although there are really so many splendid vendors at this show. We love our job!
